Help! - Need to buy new turnbuckle that holds chainplate to hull on 1987 S2 35C. The giant (24 inch plus) turnbuckle is located below deck in the cabin and has severe rust after years of chainplate/deck water leak. Unable to unscrew after soaking in penetrating oil for 2 months. Surveyor recommends remove for inspection and replace if cracks are found. Middle piece of turnbuckle is a solid 3/4 x 18 inch rod. Thought it might be made by "S Sherman Johnson", but today they confimred it is not one of their products.
I was unable to find anything like this when searching the usual turnbuckle manufacturer web pages.
Anyone have a lead on where to get one of these?
