Has anyone used Rustoleum Topside paint and if so, do you polish it? I used this product last year and I’m looking to polish it up for another season. Any suggestions?

From what I learned (remember) from Andy at BoatworksToday.com, polishing paint can be a bit iffy. Not all paints are thick enough or establish a hard enough surface to handle polishing. I would try in an inconspicuous place on the boat to test your product, technique, and tools. It can be easy to burn through the paint.

You might check out Andy's site to see if there are any ideas to help you.

Many waxes and polishes have an abrasive embedded in them. These will dull the finish. Compared to one part polyurethane and two part paints, enamels are pretty soft and scratch easily. Probably your best bet is to use a good detergent (Dawn?) and simply wash the boat. The finish will dull over time and need to be repainted.
