Running wires to water tank

Thats it I'm sick of pumping to get fresh water so the presure pump is going in. Now what I need to do is get power from the switch board to the water tank. My thoughts are that I run the wires in the tubes that contains the water pipe that runs to the galley and then from there get the wires up to the switch board. But being a fussy bugger I want to make sure there are no visible signs of the wires. Any help appeciated.

I put in switched on-demand pumps in the galley and the head, then you have the pump for backup. -Tom

Mark.....

My batteries are forward of the compresssion post, on the centerline, beneath the dinette seat, aft of the water tank. I just ran the wires from the batteries down the port/starboard sides, tie-wrapped (plastic wire ties) to the conduit that houses the water lines (followed the water lines). These terminate under each sink. I did not go via the switch panel, I do have in-line fuses though. Installed the in-line water pumps and wired a switch in the desired location on each cabinet. Hope that helps. -Tom

Thanks Tom

But I need to run the wires via the electical panel to under the galley sink. There must be someone out there that has been able to do this??

Yo Mark - is it getting colder yet? Solution--

Mark, There is a couple of ways of doing this. If you wish to come from the panel, there is a channel running down the starboard side of hull behind the carpet. Located just aft of the galley. You will need to pull out the electrical panel after disconnecting the battery to reach down to the channel. A wire snake would be good for this. It leads from the top liner to the floor under the mattress. If you look under the galley area looking aft you can see were the wall meets the floor by the bed. You can safely drill a hole just big enough for whatever wire you going to run. The platform the bed is on is about 3-4 inches above the hull. You can also run wire directly from the battery with fuses (of course) under the bed platform and still drill the hole for access under the galley. I thought I had pictures of this mod but can find them right now. If I do I'll email them. Jim S/V Java

Mark I just re-read your post.

I placed my presure pump under the galley and only had pressure at the galley. See link But you have the right idea of using the same pipe that is under the galley to the water tank for running the wire. Jim S/V Java
