Hi all,

I'm about to replace the entirety of the running rigging on my 311. So far I've come up with...

Main halyard - 3/8 100ft
Jib halyard - 3/8 100ft
Main sheet - 7/16 70ft
Jib sheets - 7/16 50ft

I also want to replace the traveler line but don't know diameter or length. Any suggestions? Also, have I missed anything?

Your inventory appears to be good.
Check your Beneteau owner's manual; there should be a dedicated page that details all of the running rigging line diameters and lengths.
FYI, when I replaced my Lewmar traveler lines, I used Samson XLS 5/16" double braid lines. A soft eye splice is required on one end of each line. If your aren't adept at splicing double braid, request that the supplier place the splices for you. I ordered 26' total or 13' each. Best to measure & verify the length prior to ordering.

Good idea, though I encourage the attempt at splicing. It is a seamanship skill that is disappearing.

If you have the chandlery provide you the splices lines, affirm the length you need after the splice. Also address in the order that you want a small loop, not a large loop in the splice. A loop that fits your traveler need is different than a loop to fit over an 8" dock cleat.

You want to use a low stretch line for your halyards, if you do, you can and should sue 5/156" size. For line types see
