Running Rigging Lengths

I recently purchased a 1997 Hunter 340 which is absolutely the best boat I've ever owned - not the largest, but the best. However, all of the running rigging, halyards, sheets, etc. are in very bad shape and needs replacing. Instead of going through the usual way of determining the lengths of each, is there a Hunter 340 owner out there that has recently done this and can share the lengths of line for each of the following: - Jib Halyard - Main Halyard - Jib Sheet - Main sheet - 1st reef point (main) - 2nd reef point (main) - Mainsail travelerI'd appreciate any info you can provide: rwpoole@comcast.net

Hello ,Unfortunately for you we do not have a 340 but we have a 1991 hunter 35.5You can compare the specifications with your 1997 hunter 340The specs are nearly identical.340; I 43 J 11.6 P 43.7 E 15 Mast 56 WL 28.735.5; I 42 J 12.2 P 44.1 E 14.3 mast 55 WL 29.1On the 35.5 the first reef is at 6'7" and the second is at 13' 2 3/4"Here are the running rigging specs for our boatMain Halyard 7/16" 118'Jib Halyard 7/16" 102'Main sheet 7/16" 54'Jib sheet 7/16" 44'Vang line 3/8" 45'Topping lift 3/8" 67'No info on reefing line sorry!We changed our Main halyard for a Samson warpspeed last year and it made a big difference in heavy air. Our previous Halyard was stretching and making the main wrinkle. This new line has very little strech and offer better sail shape and control.Good luck

Owner's Manual

A Hunter 340 manual should have come with your boat. It has detailed information about all the parts and pieces including detailed drawings. Also all line sizes and lengths. If you didn't get the manual contact the previous owner or Hunter. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. Appreciate the info. Love the 340. Just this past weekend, I was out in 25 knots winds and with a double-reefed main. I did 9 knots on a tight beaT for about 1-1/2 minutes, but it was real and very real great! Love my Hunter 340!

Last post clarification

My post on the rigging looks a little confusing as the spacing that I tried to put in disappeared. Basically when you see 2 different lengths the second one is for furling rigging and the first is for standard rigging.
