After much searching around the web and looking through the photo forums I think I am finaly ready to run the halyards to the cockpit of my 1993 H19. I blan on using two blocks at the base of the mast, a double cheek block to point them aft and a double rope clutch. Now that it's time to drill I'm wondering how to go about it. Does anyone know the make up of the cabin roof? What's the best way to drill and waterproof? I have read that some sort of backing should be used for all fasteners, I was thinking of using wood blocks so I could use them to anchor a storage shelf. Any thoughts on this? Jeremy
