Tack Line

Can be run to the cockpit and is prefered but not a must. It allows to to have a little more control if the leading edge of the sail and when trimmed tight will allow the boat to sail up wind like a monster head sail. I would run it to the cockpit to a rope clutch or a cam cleat. Cliff H 28.5 "Red Dog"

masts

The 23 mast was either a Z Spar which you can get parts from US Spar or Kenyon-Isomat. Kenyon-Isomat is gone but you can call Charleston Spar in Charlotte, NC if they have parts for that mast. I hope this helps you guys for information. Crazy gone.
