Running Jib Sheet on 192

The O'Day rigging pamphlet says to run the jib sheet OUTSIDE of the shrouds. This seems strange to me considering the stock hardware positions. And all the pics I see show the sheet INSIDE the shroud. I have the standard cleats on either side of the companionway with pulleys further forward. How should it be done with a standard jib on my 192?

Mine likes it between the shrouds. Try it on yours, and you'll see the lead is just plain right when close hauled.

I have a 19. Made the mistake of having the jib sheets inside the shrouds the other day. The geometry of the location of the blocks through which the sheets run is such that the sheet was pressing against the inside of the shroud when the jib was moderately out, rather than having a straight course. I suspect it would depend upon where the block or eye is located through which you are running the sheet.
