Entrance is clear, the dredge eguipment is on the north edge of entrance
and it is clear to enter. I draw 5ft. as long as you stay along marsh side
there is decent water. Channel inside is marked but tight.
weekends are always crowded but is is a nice place to anchor up.
I thought the entrance ran N/S. So saying the dredge is on the north end is confusing to me. When coming into Absecon inlet from sea; do I pass the dredge on my starboard before turning north into the basin?
Entering Absecon inlet on a compass heading you are actually looking north( seems odd to your normal feel but true) so the inlet is really a N/S inlet which puts Brig. ENE
The dredge is on the Brigantine Bridge side of the entrance. On your port as you travel through entrance to basin.
The entrance run to the Rum Point Basin ( S. Georges Thorofare) is more a E/W
Entrance. It is actually a very easy entrance once you get your bearings of the area.
