I thought I should pass this along. I orderred a new lower shroud for my 1972 Mariner on the NET from DR on Sunday. Based on the comments I've seen about Rudy's not paying attention to Email etc. I called Monday morning and left a voice mail message telling him I had placed the NET order. I got a return phone call within 2 hours, and the piece was shipped UPS the same day. I call that great service in today's world.

Good to Hear

Glad to hear you had good luck with Rudy. I've sent numerous emails and never received a response. I heard the old story, "He's very busy". Gee, last time I checked, my four children and running my own business keeps me pretty busy also. Yet somehow, I'm able to return emails from customers who need my services.

Rudy IS the go-to guy for all things ODay, but he is much more accessible on the phone. Small shop, you can accept that fact and be rewarded with all the help in the world, or persist in forcing him to adapt to a world he doesn't really live in yet.The web site doesn't even show everything available, just apears as a teaser. The fact that he even acknowledged an on-line request is pretty amazing. Try the phone-it does work. Bill Coxe, O28 (Desperately available)/O40, New London, CT

DR Marine

I placed an on-line order for a gudgeon for my O'Day 25 with DR Marine on a Thursday afternoon. The gudgeon arrived at my house the following Monday afternoon. I never talked to Rudy directly. This was strictly an on-line transaction. I don't think that anyone could have provided better service than that.

although I might have made a phone call, I think. Either way, the goods were on my desk without any delay.
