Hurrican Ivan set me up the hard - tail first; I need to rebuild the rudder but after bobbing in the bay untill a slip opened up - the smashed portion fell apart. Bruce - This seems to be a standard response to many queries about O'Days, but contacting Rudy at D & R Marine <www.drmarine.com> will probably put you in line for a new rudder. If that expense isn't justified, and it probably will set you back a few $$$, there are sure to be owners of similar O27's in your area that you can connect with via this site. My boat is a '78 model & I think the rudders were different, but it's sitting in my driveway now and if you want measurements from it, get back to me.
