When someone goes thru three rudders, then something is amiss. Hopefully, you read my earlier post.
However, there could be another issue. I have seen people take the boat off the trailer with the rudder fully deployed and hit. I have seen rudders when running aground the owner did not raise the rudder when backing up and it hit hard damaging it but later failed as a direct result of hitting.
However as a former investigator, not enough imformation was given as to the circumstances and I find it is quite unusal for three ruders on the same boat had to be replaced.
Yachtsman;
If you can email me with more details at davecondon@mindspring.com I will be glad to assist. I have logged more time with these boats than anyone. I will explain later and I also use to be an investigator.
