Rudder

Dear all,
Has anybody ever tried to put a rudder on the stern and
if so, how did the boat react?

When I bought my Vega #108 it had been Sailed from Hawaii to Alaska. It
had a long rudder attached to the stern which was part of the self
stearing system. I have not used it since I bought the boat. I have
deduce that it must have worked well.

Hey gang, did anyone find out which way the tapered pin comes out at
the top of the rudder post? Going to try to remove mine this weekend

Trev,

I removed my rudder several weeks ago and hammered the pin out from
port to starboard. It went pretty easily.
