Rudder shaft diameter???

Can anyone tell me the rudder shaft diameter on a 1978 H27? I am speaking to a dealer about a steering system and he needs to know the diameter. I am two hours away from my boat and won't be there until this weekend.

Is approximate okay?

If you don't need exact it is pretty darn close to 2" in diameter. I put a piece of Gorilla Tape over the emergency tiller opening during winter to try and keep water out and the tape is 1.88" wide. The shaft is just slightly bigger than that.
