I'm in the process of repairing a boat that sunk. She lost her rudder, broke her drop keel and mangled the drop keel assembly. My plan: A. Find a new rudder --- but where??? B. Build a new rudder --- but how without a clue of what the rudder for this boat is supposed to look like? C. Have a machine shop use the old assembly to make a new assembly... can they really do that? D. Rejoin the broken parts of the drop keel, rebuild the tail where the hoist rope is attached... and pray the whole thing doesn't go caput while I'm out to sea.
