Rudder Removal

Hi,

I have a 1978 Hunter 30 and have searched the archives and found a lot of information on rudder removal. I have the skeg off and took off a through bolt in the rudder quadrant. Do you have to take the rudder quadrant off? Is there still something stopping the rudder from dropping.

I would suggest looking for a long bolt that goes right through the quadrant. If this bolt is not rem,aoved you probally won't be able to remove the post,, See if you can find one!!1
