Rudder Rebuilding

Upon pulling my boat out this year I notice the rudder has considerable "play" in it and some PO fiberglass repairs in the forward end of the rudder are coming apart. Anyone have some good advice on repairing the rudder and the rudder tube/bearings??

I have the same problem

I'd love to know the answer. I remember someone on this forum suggesting pouring resin into the tube, but I don't see how that would not lock the rudder in. Help!

Rudder Stock

In one of Don Casey's books, he instructs to use "liberal amounts of wax on the rudder stock" to prevent the repair epoxy from sticking to stock; haven't tried it (yet) but I still need advice on how to remold the tube.
