rudder prob

35s5rudder getting harder to turn,may have dropped 1/4 in any suggestions??

Have you inspected the rudder bearing?

Why do you feel its dropped at 1/4"? How did you measure it?

Isolate the major steering components seperately and evaluate how freely each part moves, ie, if you disconnect the quadrant, does the wheel turn freely or can you move the rudder freely?

Thanks.The diver said it looked that way,I ahvent been there yet but will go this weekend-partner said it was realy difficult to steer so I will do the componant isolation

I think it would be hard for the rudder to drop. If it is assembled such as mine, there is a collar and pin at the top of the rudder post as it exits out of the rudder support.
