Does anyone know where we can find a cutaway schematic of the rudder post stuffing box section on a Cat 30 1984 hull #3689 or instructions on how we go about replacing the packing within the flange ? We are nervous about taking this apart without knowing what goes on inside ,especially with the boat still in the water. We are experiencing water spurting up above this flange when the engine is powered up to a point that forces the rudder post entry area below the water level. Thanks to one and all.
