Rudder post rebuild???

Hello all,
I own a 37' Hunter cutter and had the fudder post TORN OUT when she drug ancher and ran agound. I've removed the stearing quadrent, pulled the rudder and patched the gaping hole w/aluminum plate and am about to haul her out. Does anyone know of a documented rudder tube/post rebuild and if so can u please point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated and needed as I'll be doing the the work and resorces are limited here in de VI.

No, but if it were me and the tube was fiberglass, I'd put a release agent on the new rudder post and lay up the tube on it out of fiberglass.

You may also wish to contact Hunter to see if they have a rudder tube they can supply you. I bet they can lay something up for you too.
