I would like to know how to lubricate and with what for the rudder of my 280. The wheel is very hard to turn I have diconeted the cables and the wheel turns fie by it's self. The boat is in the water now. Scott thmseasley@yahoo.com
You need to check and lubricate the cables and pulleys. Make sure everything turns smoothly. If it is the actual rudder, sadly it sounds as if the rudder was struck underwater and you bent the shaft and the top trailing edge is rubbing on the hull. Good luck.
