rudder post leak

I have some leakage around the rudder post on my First 285, while under power. The leakage is from the top of the rubber boot that fits around the rudder post. If I keep my speed below 5 knots, then it doesn't happen, but the boat will cruise easily at 5.8 knots or more, so this is also annoying. I had the rudder removed at a boat yard, and installed new Beneteau parts for the rudder washer and rubber boot. Still have the problem. Has anyone seen this problem, and maybe solved it?
