Rudder Position Sensor on H30

I am trying to install a rudder position sensor on a Hunter 30, but I cannot find a place to install it. The quadrant is covered by a piece of plywood that supports the cables. The only way I can see it fitting is to mount it upside down. Does the part that mounts to the quadrant have to be on the centre line, or can it be on one of the side pieces of the quadrant?

Just posted in the last few days.

Check this out. Maybe it will help. The Raymarine instructions show this mounted next to the quadrant. On my installation it was necessary to mount it forward of the quadrant.
