Rudder Packing Gland

I have a 1986 Pearson 303 and plan to repack the gland for the rudder post. I need to find out what thickness size packing is used for a stuffing box that accomadates a 1 - 1/4 inch rudder post.

Do any of you sailors know?

Usually the boat builders do the gland for the rudder post, rather than the steering folks, although trying Edson wouldn't hurt. www.edsonmarine.com
