The top rudder mount on the transom of my 1979 S245 cracked. Is there a generic replacement or do I need to have one made to order? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you have an outboard rudder. The gudgeons should be replaceable at West or Defender. You just need to measure them and start looking. S2 did not manufacture those gudgeons They bought them from someone and you can find replacements.
