Rudder Help

I need to order a rudder for my 1984 O'Day 222 and need some specs if someone has their original and could help me out. I was going to try Idasailor and I need to know the space under tiller, transom angle (90?),tiller length, & draft. Thanks

Have you talked to them yet? I ordered one form them last year and they had all the measurements. If your boat is stock then you probably won't need the specs.

If you need the whole rudder including the rudder head which is made of Aluminum, you can purchase that from Rudy. http://www.drmarine.com/
If you have the rudder head and just need the rudder blade, he has the blades but they don't come with the holes drilled so I'm told.
I had Rudy make a new blade for my rudder head years ago and I've modified my rudder through the years by lowering the pintles on the head and adding an O'Day 25 tiller to it with some stops to hold it up that I had Mickey Moused myself. I never liked the chintzy narrow tiller that came with my boat new. By lowering the pintles, I was able to have more room for a much thicker and wider tiller.

I like it (the flip up). They're all expensive and Ida Sailor (they've changed their name) is great to work with.
The rudder is a little narrower and longer. Should help when you get over powered.
