Rudder Dinging

If I put an extra long (25") shaft Tohatsu outboard on my 1980 O'day 22, would there be a greater chance of the propeller dinging the rudder than with the 20" long shaft? Thanks

If the rudder pivots are vertical to each other, then probably not more of a concern than long or short shaft. If the rudder pins are at an angle, but aligned to each other, then it would not swing on a vertical axis, an maybe would hit the prop.
