Is there anyone out there that has an older model hunter where the rudder bushings have given you a problem, and what did you do to repair it. My upper rudder bushings housings was damaged at some time and know it moves, and it's time to fix it.

I had to replace mine in my '88 Legend. It wasn't available to purchase, so I have a friend who volunteered to make one for me. He measured the hole and the shaft with a micrometer and had his shop in Mexico produce it for me. My problems were solved. This was done about 10 years ago.

Poly board?
Bill: Can you get some poly board and just drill out a hole that is just slightly larger than the rudder post. Then just bolt or screw it into place. If this is exposed to sun light I would use seaboard or one of other similar products. It it is NOT exposed, then a cutting board works fine. Seaboard, Kingboard and the likes all have UV inhibitors to prevent degradation in the sun.
