Rudder Bearing

Has anyone replaced their aluminum rudder bearing successfully? I replaced it two years ago and the yard assured me another Aluminum bearing would be OK because they used low copper paint around the rudder. After two years the bearing is binding up again. Does anyone know of a manufacturer for the tapered bearing made out of a material suitable for a marine environment, i.e. bronze?

Aluminum?? No way Aluminum is an anode and would be gone in a year.I have done a couple of beneteau rudder bearings and they are all bronze material. You should contact Beneteau and buy the bearing from them.
I have never even had to buy a bearing, the glass that the bearing sits in wears .Glass in some fiberglass tape ,it shrinks the bearing removing play, I actually epoxied in Kevlar tape on my boat.
