Rudder bearing

My Oday 302 rudder is knocking and has a bit of movement, anyone know where I can find replacement bearings?

Just an update, I got ahold of Dr.Marine, they indicated Oday 302 does not have any rudder bearings. Just a rudder stock thru fiberglass tube. Mine is knocking slightly, might be normal for the age. Going to add some grease and monitor. Any similar experience?

Tell us more of that symptom like when knocking Rudder is...
1) In heavy seas
2) Port or Starboard turns
3) Does the rudder in pictures shown have lateral movement when pushing on it

Note the Fiberglass tube = Boat side bearing.

More noticeable in light winds, sound like a bottle rolling back and forth. I can wiggle the rudder now on the hard and get the same knocking. No issue with steering. Steering is smooth.

My guess is your Fiberglass tube is wearing on the inside.

It sounds annoying, but I would look for cracks in that tube.

Otherwise you will have to drop your rudder to repair/replace that tube.

One key point...

Fiberglass tube = Boat side bearing.

If that breaks, it is not going to be easy to steer your boat.
