Thank you guys for all replays. My boat is old and I believe that nobody was taking care greasing rudder. My problem is as follows (to be exact) if I grab bottom of rudder I can shake everything from side to side. Rudder post (piece going thru hull) is moving around 1/4" (port to starboard)right where it enters hull. My question to all of you is - what kind of bearing is there I think it should be sleeve bearing. next Q. is what kind of material is used Bronze- graphite? Or something else. How to remove this bearing. Thank you Christopher

Foss Foam

Foss Foam is the leading manufacturer of rudders in the USA. I bel;ieve they have THOUSANDS of rudder patterns. Tha's where I'd look first ( Rudy can get you one but it he gets them from Foss Foam too)
