Many years ago I ordered a new Bristol 29.9 with a rubrail, teak with stainless facing. Since I usually singlehand this has kept my hull spotless. I installed one also on my trailerable Bayfield 25. I'm now looking at purchasing a 310 for extended use in Flordia and I would like to install a similar rubrail, teak or wood, with a stainless facing, through bolted. Is this a doable project or would a liner prevent its installation? It seems that the rubrail that comes with the boat is really only made to cover the hull-deck joint. I thought it would be installed immediately or a couple inches below the existing hull-deck cap? What do you think?
