I have a Hunter 26, and I need to get some of those rubber plugs that keep the shroud T-Bolts from coming out while stepping the mast. Does anyone know where I could buy some of those?

I called the site store, and apparently those rubber plugs are no longer available.

Check out "Rigging Only". Last year when I re-did the rig on my 28 I ordered plugs from them. Prices are good and service is excellent.

I called Rigright today to order 10 plugs. I figured I'd have a good supply for future in case they get harder to find. I was a little surprised to learn they cost $9 each. I figured they would be less than $1 each. On top of that $15 minimum shipping up to 2lbs. I decided $105 for a hand full of rubber plugs was a bit much. I will order fewer, but decided to check the web site to see if there's other items I need to help justify the shipping fee.

I'll check Rigging Only to see what their price is. Thanks Al for that lead.

Thanks for the leads, but I looked at Annapolis Performance sailing.com and Rigging only and was not able to find them.

Would it be possible to post the exact link to where they are located?

Thanks, I appreciate the help.

Doug

After replacing several already replacements over the years, I found that rubbery artificial corks from a wine bottle can be carved to the proper shape easily. Sized properly and shaped as a wedge, the new plug will do the job and is unlikely to vanish. A few brands have black "corks." Some even believe the wine can be consumed.

Ken thank you for the photos again. They came in handy.

After contacting one of the companies recommended to purchase T-Ball Plugs and finding that the plugs would cost me $9 per unit. I decided I was not going to pay that. I also discovered that the wasps like using the holes to access the mast to make nest inside the mast. I trailer my boat.

I own a CNC machine and I decided to cut a mold out of PVC material, the white piece in the picture, and buy silicone material to make my own T-Ball Plugs. The shelf life and cost did not make sense to go down that line of thinking.

I created another file and cut the plug out of HD pink insulation. I created one that will fill the hole when the mast is down and I will cut them in half when I put the mast up.

They fit perfectly and they cost almost nothing.
