Rubber bumpers

Does anyone have a source for the little round rubber (stoppers) bumpers that are under the lazarette lids and on the hatch slde as a stopper. The stopper or bushing is about 3/8" high, 3/4" diameter on the top and bottom. Black in color with a hole in the center for a screw to hold it in place. On th H40 there are 9 in each of the rear lazarette hatches and two on the sliding hatch. I've been to Home Depot and Lowes but they don't have anything close, or at least the people I talked to had no clue. Thanks Vinny

Parts From: Warren Milberg Subject: Rubber Bumpers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I bought my boat in 2003, all of the black rubber bumpers under the cockpit lockers, and the two on the companionway hatch, were totally shot. Thinking these would be hard to replace, I roamed Home Depot and found some washers that I thought would suffice. They were ok, but not quite right. On a hunch, I called Hunter in Florida. Bingo! They had the original OEM bumpes in stock. I ordered 25 of them @ .49 each plus postage and had them in hand a week later. If interested, call Hunter at: 1-800-771-5556 ext 3015. Tell them you want Item 1000190, Bumper Black, 771-RW (Large Bumpers). FYI: These bumpers fit a H28.5. Make sure what you order will fit your boat.

I get my replacement bummpers from a local electronics parts store. They have many different sizes and materials. I've added more bumpers to the lockers on my H34 to help prevent the ends of the lids from bending when people climb out of the cockpit.

in Tupelo Mississippi which is the store where Elvis's mother bought his first guitar has these bumpers where they are called table leg cushions. This is one of those old time stores where they are likely to have anything hardware-wise you might be looking for.

I've always gotten mine at HD

They were in the hardware isles. Four (I think) in a blister pack. Dove gray color. Exact replacement size. Really cheap (yay.)

Yup!

Kristel had a change of heart so I'm happy to report that we took it off the market a while back. I've since decided that I ain't ever selling this boat. If the admiral decides she wants to live on the dirt again I'm just going to buy her a condo. They'll have to carry me off Anthem in a box :)
