I need help finding the Rubber Bumpers that go under the seats on a 1983 Hunter 34. I think I need about 24 of these bumpers and have looked in several hardware stores. Has anyone else replaced these and where can I find them? Thanks Dick Riisberg

Replaced them last year. I just bought some from the Home Depot. They were slightly different in size, but it didn't matter. They fit.

Replacement Bumpers
I replaced all the bumpers on my 83 34 with white bumbers from Home Depot. I did not use the screws that came with the bumpers I used new ss screws instead. Although bumpers are not the exact size as the orginal ones, they still work.

I got virtually identical white replacements at West Marine. There was no visual difference between the new ones and the originals.

Did Mine ... Now Seats Squeek
I just changed all of mine to the white rubber ones from Home Depot. Now it seems that when we step on the seats, there are noticable squeeks that sound like fiberglass threatening to crack. I know the new ones are ever so slightly smaller than the old ones, but they are also MUCH softer. Anyone else having this sort of problem? Thanks, Gary

I also used the white Home Depot variety (with substituted stainless screws) and noticed that, while they are the same diameter, are not quite as tall. I got some of the plastic washers from West Marine and one of those brings it up to the same height as the originals. No problems for me.

I just called Hunter about 2 months ago and ordered from their "old boat parts person" Bought 30 of them because mine (Hunter 34-1985) were falling apart. If you have a credit card handy you can place an order over the phone. While I was at it I got a xerox of the original manualtoo.
