Looking for a good source of the black rubber bumpers located under the cockpit seats. They have a screw in the center to attach to the fiberglass ridge under the seat cover.

I had the same issue two years ago when we bought our boat. I looked all over and found nothing suitable, until I was in a boat shop one day and saw some some bilge plugs for an a power boat. I bought one and took it back to the boat to check the size. It was a near perfect fit, so I bought 5 more, took them apart cut them to the right height and screwed them in place. Worked like a charm. They only cost about a $1.50 per unit, which I figured was a small price to pay for something that worked.

John: I think that they are available in the HOW store. Give them a call for more information.

Navistar ( IHC ) uses the exact same bumper as door stops on their older school buses. Find a local IH truck dealership and stop in with an old one.

you can get white ones at the big box home center stores...
Dan:

I tried some of these from HD and they did not last very long. I don't know why but the rubber seemed to rot away much faster than what Hunter used on the boats originally.

It may have been just an issue with the brand I purchased at the time.

Steve D...

I have replacements installed for over five years that haven't even begun to show signs of deterioration. I still need to replace a few that I haven't gotten around to yet, but the original black ones are now crumbling.

Found mine in HD, but like all retailers today, the sourcing seems to change annually.

We had a long discussion about this is another recent thread (not the one linked above). Item on the left is 16 year old original cockpit locker bumper from our H336 (used all over the boat, actually). Item on the right is from McMaster Carr. They cost about 12 cents a piece, because you get a bag of 100 for about $12. I think if you check, this site is selling them now also. FWIW, we went with the ones that didn't have washers. The orginal ones used by Hunter had washers, and as you would expect, the metal washers have corroded away to little piles of rusty bits.
