Has anyone installed a rub rail on a O'Day. I need about 50 feet to repair.I have a price list from D

I included some tips borrowed from Mike McIntyre. The only thing in addition I have heard is to uncoil the roll and tie it to a fence for a day or so to take the memory out of the vinyl. I would pepper Rudy with some questions. Betcha he has replaced a few in his days. Good luck. Don

Rub Rail

Keep it coming on the rub rail info. I don't see how the plastic is attached on my '79 model. One part is not attached at the beamiest place. I have been considering just tacking it down with a screw into the hull. After that, I plan to heat the black part before pounding it home with a rubber mallet and blunt 3" stone chisel. Sound good?

Norm, I installed the D and R rubrails on my O'23 last spring. You can get a video from West Marine made by the D
