Rub Rail

Am looking to replace the rub rail insert on my Catalina 30 (that rubber or vinyl band that runs partly around the boat). Does anyone know who would supply that (other than Catlaina?)?

Catalina Vinyl Rub Rail

I replaced the insert on my C-27 last year after searching and trying various suppliers and outlets such as West Marine Boat US, mail order, etc. At the end of 6 months, including buying a product from West Marine that was "close", I went to Catalina and got exactly the right insert at a very reasonable price ($80 or $90 as I recall). Advise you save the headache and go to Catalina direcly. Good luck.

Put a new one on a 1975 27ft. last summer.Had the rub rail

Be sure and heat it!!

Much easier to install if youheat it in HOT water as you install it!!I used a stock pot heated with a coleman stove.And if you are changing the colorfrom tan to grey...........you mightas well be anal and change the colorof your swim ladder steps to ghey.They are available from Caralin, also.Easy to pop rivet on.Good luck!!
