Hunter 23 WIll be at a Navy base
I need help with a bad piece of rub rail. I took pictures before and sent them but they were not good enough. I took more pictures but the upload failed. I put in a request to tech support. THe part that attaches to the boat that the rub-rail sits in is bad. The bad piece is 18 inches long. It is 2 inches wide and fits an 1 1/4 rub rail. I asked a marina to look at it and they said they would try to get it from hunter. Since they are in chapter 11 no one is there/Users/harold55/Desktop/P103042 THe boat is 1987 HUNTER 23

Most of the old rub rails are not available anymore, and even worse, the tooling for the rails from the 80's was destroyed by the manufacturer.

There's a slight chance the product is still available but we'll need to see a photo of the profile of the rail and the insert. Even better, cut off an inch of both and send it to us. You can contact us here or send an email to help@hunterowners.com.

I hope you do not mind on this one. All I will ask that he cover postage only if I have it. I hav e some old rub rail from the earlier Hunters. Do you want it and if so address which to send it to and then you have some. Just cover my cost for handling.

Yep, we've got that one as well. But does that profile fit the H23, or is it a substitute that you can use to replace the entire rail?

I took the old rail off. Measured it, looked at the pattern and found the stuff on Pier Supply. It is the exact same as what was on the H23 when I got the boat. Has to be original since it was so dried out.

the original rubrail came from Hamilton Marine.com.They are out of Main.The backing Is white barber plastic Part #164036.the insert rubrail is #418IF @1.73/ft The barber plastic is 3.99/ft.talk to Josh ,I got in 5 days. Good luck
