Anyone know of a source for rub rail material that meets the design of the Cal 28.2?Seems hard to find due to age of boat, but think there must be some around somewhere.Need only 4 feet. Thanks,Frank
Try rubrails.com.Another lead might be tacomarine.comIt can be a tough nut to crack, but if you know the profile of your rubrail, you may be Ok.Dave Groshongcustomer serviceSailboatOwners.comtoll free 877-932-7245
Frank, I have a Cal 28-2 as well and would love to replace my rubrails. However, I'm reluctant since one has to drill out the wood caps on the toe rail, remove all the screws for the toe rail, replace the rubrail, replace the toe rail and then the wood caps and then re-Cetol or polyurethane. Lot of work. I wonder if it's not just easier to paint them? Please share anything you find out. My email is delivery7@comcast.net. Thanks, Steph
