Contact Hunter
Richard,You might want to contact Hunter to confirm, but when I search the archives, they suggest that you should judiciously tap the offending area back into place with a rubber mallet..if you drop them a note, they are pretty good at getting back to you promptly....Once you have got it close - my gap varied from 0" to about 1/4", I would strongly recommend re-caulking the entire rub-rail if you can stomach the task - it is character building for your regular crew to assist.Use an old dental tool - or similar - to remove the old caulk, and use 3M Marine Caulk (NOT THE ADHESIVE) and a caulk smoothing tool when you have finished. You will get a job that looks as good - if not better - than the original factory job, and in our case, a handful of persistant internal leaks disappeared when we completed the task.Once the film of caulk that is always left away from the joint after using the smoothing tool has dried. it is effectively removed with a "green and yellow" scouring sponge..Best of Luck!
