I'm looking for a substitute for the stainless rub strake installed on the rubber rail bumper of my H-460. Problem is that anytime the boat bumps hard on a piling or dock, the stainless strake incurs a permanent bend. After a while it looks like a rollercoaster.Hunter says they haven't had any complaints other than mine, but I can't believe no one else has experienced it. Granted, my boat takes more abuse than some because it's in a charter fleet, but anytime you put a piece of metal over a soft backing and hit it, it's bound to deform. What I'm looking for is a hard plastic or vinyl strip which could be used in place of the stainless strip. I have a call into Barbour Plastics which supplies Hunter's stainless strips but I wonder if anyone out there has another idea.
