I seem to have a water leak in the aft cabin of my 386. I noticed water in a puddle in front of the port wet locker and also in the port storage area under the mattress. The dealer tried to caulk around the entire rub rail, but it does seem to be working. Also, the vinyl material on the port wall next to the wet locker seems to be spongier than the starboard side. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as to where to look for the leak

Possible similar problem

You don't say what year your boat is. If you have the new white rub rail with the stainless insert this might apply to you. I had a similar leak on my 2002 H410 that was discovered pre final delivery. They had to remove the rub rail stbd side from midship to stern and recaulk the hull/deck seam and reinstall the rubrail. That appears to have solved the problem. I learned that this was a production line problem that the dealer seemed well aware of as tHey didn't hesitate to offer the above fix under warranty. You might want to talk to your dealer if it applies. Good luck.

What boat?

Ray - what year boat do you have? Composite arch or stainless?

Devilsh builders

It's as if they got all done designing the boat and then said to themselves, "Okay, let's add a few holes to draw water into the interior. Here, here, here, here...." My vinyl gets so wet all the time that I've long since removed the teak slats so I can roll the sides of the interior to squeeze out the water.
