We are planning on removing the hull stripe that is scratched and installing a rub rail on our Hunter Cherubini 37. Anybody done that? If so would like to see pictures and know what size rail you used.

Should find that with a "Search". It might be Rardi's H36. Really neat, have no idea how it is attached.

Maybe this Beneteau install pic will help. We used an extruded solid PVC rub rail material, it extends 2" and is wider at the base where it attaches to the hull. It tapers to about 1 1/8" and is capped by a solid-back stainless steel rub strake. The PVC was awlgripped to match the hull. In the shop it looked massive, on the boat it is barely noticeable...until you touch the dock and it does its job!

Just remember, when you install the rubber part, soap and water in a spray bottle is your BFF!

I like the rub rail Gunni has and it really helps keeping other boats from hitting the hull, the sailboat next to me in my slip had a similar type rub rail that protected both our boats from getting scratched or banged up if and when they came in contact better than fenders.
