I have a 91 Hunter Vision 32'. At the end of last season a line came off and the starboard rub rail was destroyed in some parts. I spoke with Hunter and they referred me to Barber Plastics who originally manufactured the rub rail and insert. However, the minimum production run is 500 Ft for both. On the Vision 32' we only need 65'. The cost is $1.12 per foot for the rub rail and .75 per foot for the insert. I almost have no choice, but to buy both at 500 ft. I was hoping someone might have a suggestion or possible another Vision 32' owner or several other owners would be interested in splitting the cost to replace their rub rail and insert as well. Please email me at DanielReyer@yahoo.com. Thanks for your help. Dan

Its very unlikely it was only used on the V32. Call Hunter again. It is likely for a large number of models in which case you should be able to off-load the surplus easily. Rick D,

I might be interested...

Hey Dan, The rubrail on my '90 Vision 32 needs replacing as well and this is on the list for this year. I had been planning on talking to TACO regarding a replacement, but haven't gotten to it yet. I was also hoping to get a light gray replacement insert instead of black. Have you spoken with them? matt

I bet you could sell the excess at a profit

on Ebay. If you need some help or want to hire me to do it on a percentage, I'd be glad to help. I sell salvage off the gulf shoreline (sometimes my own yikes!) on Ebay fairly often and get really good prices on sailing gear. IslandJack
