Rub Rail for H26

Hello!

There is a gap in the rub or toe rail of my H26 of about 4.75 inches, which is black. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement patch for this gap? The online store only offers it in gray, and besides, I don't want to buy the whole kit and caboodle.

The ordering catalogue doesn't give dimensions, but it is approximately 1-1/8 inch tall. If there is another source for this, I would have to give an accurate size and description, of which I'm not familiar. Is anyone familiar with this?

Failing that, does anyone have an odd piece in black that is no more than six inches? I would be happy to purchase it, pay for postage and your time.

Thanks! From HunterMom

see if the forum store has any and can sell you a foot. However, you can pull on it and bring it back but some pulling will be needed. I would then anchor the end with a screw thru the ring.

Dave,
Thanks for responding to my question. I'm a little confused, though. By forum store do you mean hunterowners.com store? They're the ones with the light gray rub rail and you have to buy it in large quantities. I neglected to mention that the gap is dead center on the port side... Nothing to anchor it to.... Just piece it in. The gray would really stand out and say, "Hey, something missing here..."

I assume there is a break in the insert? Call Paul Matrongala at Tidewater In Hav De Grace Md. or refer you to the sevice dept. to see if they might have any scrap black insert. Many of the small boat dealers are long gone now. Maybe a call to the mfg of that rub rail insert would be order to see. Did you ever ask the forum store if they would do that for you as you only need a small piece to see if the mfg. has any? Call and speak with AL only on this. He should know. If not, then contact me.
