Rough day in Central TX

I live in Seabrook tx south of Houston on galveston bay and we also had strong winds on monday, but nothing like that. I hope everything works out for those involved.

Most of that damage was more than likely caused by owner laziness and stupidity. The wind was just the antagonizer. I used to see a lot of boats in the marina when my boat was moored in Texas that weren't given the slightest bit of attention from their owners. Its the ones who do that end up paying the price in damage to their boats from their irresponsible neighbors boats getting loose.

That's very true, I'm in a small cove marina and I think myself and one other owner are the only ones that check our boats regularly, i have recently started walking the dock to make sure the other boats lines are secured properly just in case we have a storm.

Yep- I was delivering a 27 footer down the Texas ICW and we laid it up over Monday. Matagorda Bay in 45 knots ain't nice!!
