Rotted Stringer

Rigged my '92 H23 today and noticed rot on the stringers to which the chain plates are secured. It is bad enough that the holes which hold the bolts are elongated. The rot area is the most inboard part, where the bolts are located (about a 3x4 " area). When I peeled the headliner back, there was a lot of good wood to the outboard. Should I: 1)use the West System and inject epoxy. 2) Have 1/8 inch SS plates made that are the shape of the stringet and place on on either side of the stringer, secured to the good wood? 3) Both of the above. 4) take it to the boatyard and let a pro handle it. Thoughts appreciated, Gary Bridi
