Rot on bottom of bulk head

There is about one inch of rot on the bottom of the port side of the bulk head running the full length of the bulk head where it meets the bottom of boat. Has anyone had this problem and is it a major project to remove the bulk head to replace or patch?

Please let us know the following:How did you set up the Jack?Where did you place the jack to keep it out of the way of the post and bulk head removal?Did the compression post sit on a pin?Did you replace the compression post?Where did you get the wood for the new bulk headI have the same problem with my bulk head and my compression post has a bit of water damage at the base.
