Stinkpot just joined this forum today. What are the odds he stumbled upon this forum and this thread with this bombshell of information on his first post?!
Posting to one of the most active boat lists, with what - tens of thousands of members....is keeping "the details private"..We don't know the circumstances and he has kept the details private for a reason. Please try not to speculate so much. It doesn't help anything. SC

I was walking the dock a few weeks ago and stumbled across a large boat named Rosewood. It really stood out. We never see boats from NY down here. Chances are its not the boat you are looking for. Good luck

We purchased our fractionally-owned pontoon boat from a guy who forgot he had it until his wife audited the accountant three years after he last used it and found they still owned it and were paying slip and insurance fees. There was an Olsen 30, new, in front of one of my old slips. The kids raced it one season and it sat for about seven or more years without even a wash before being quickly sold. It was owned by the Rothschild family. Hard to imagine forgetting you own something like a boat.Howard Hughes was a very wealthy man and the storey is told about the time he flew a DC-6 down to San Diego, met with some friends and drove to some other city and then to some other place and finally back the his home. About six months later the San Diego Air Port people called him and asked what they should do with his blankity- blank DC-6 . There was a long pause and then he said , "so that's where I left it".
